What do your pets consider the best thing in the world either to do, to go, or to eat?
My labs favorite thing is to chase her ball. She'll do it over and over and I have to take the ball away or she won't quit and she's an old dog.
My 2 rats love, well you would think chewing, but your wrong. They love running their wheel in their cage.
My chinchillas, well it's a toss up between their dust bath or running in their exercise balls, but I think they prefer the dust bath a bit more.
One of my cats loves milk, my persian, and he'll wind around your legs, stand on his hind feet, meow and pretty much drive you crazy until he gets some. And, he's not a kitten. He's almost 4 years old.
My tabby likes to sneak outside and chase birds.
My mom's yappy chihuahua likes, well barking at everything and nothing, like the wind, a shadow moving, leaves blowing around. She's crazy.
When my lilac-crowned amazon was still alive, his favorite thing was walking on the floor and following you around or chasing the cats. He could fly, but he didn't like to.
My Jendai Conure's favorite thing with me is riding on my shoulder and having her belly scratched. Otherwise if it's my mom, she likes to attack her.
My wild goldfinch that can't be released loves to sing.
The guinea pig likes carrots.
The rabbit loves to go outside on a leash and munch on grass and clover.
The ferret just likes crawling through its tunnels and sleeping in his hammock.
Well, I guess that's about it. I have foster cats and things too, but they change offten so I'm not listing them here.
Chastity
My dog loves playing with toys, especially balls and squeaky bones. He also likes sitting on your lap.
My cat likes eating anything she can and sleeping on the highest shelf of my desk or fridge. I used to have a cat who liked to play fetch.
My old cat used to fetch those spungy balls and bring them back and he'd do it several times. And, if you ignored him he'd nip at your toes until you threw the ball.
I've a freind whose cat fetches M and M's, the peanut ones.
my cat tanga loves cantaloupe. he will take it right off your plate. he also loves any kind of meat.
bisk my other kitty, loves loves loves yoghurt. she would eight a whole tcontainer if i would let her.
Chastity, it sounds like you are running an Animal Rescue out of your house. *smile*. Having said that, Our current cat likes to ride around the house on my shoulder. He sits on the bookcase near the computer when I'm working, and just purrs his heart out. When he was younger, the game seemed to be "Let me watch papa's hand while he's reading braille. As it gets slower, I know he'll go to sleep while reading, and I can grab his hand." I woke up many times to claws and teeth in my hand, but not with evil intent. Oh, he knows I'm blind and will try to steal food either in preparation, or off my plate. He took a peparoni right off the pizza in my hand once.
Lou
I know some cats will eat almost anything, but I've never heard of a cat that will eat cantelope. That's interesting.
As for my household, yes all are rescues from different situations and some are strays that people thought could survive on their own in the wild, like the guinea pig. was really panicked when I got and finally getting better and feels safer in the cage.
Wonder why dogs love squeaky things.
Lou, your cat story is funny!
Gladus, our Chihuahua Jack Russell, loves to sleep under covers and on pillows.
Her favorite game is wubba! She has a wubba that squeaks and a snugga wubba that does not squeak.
Her other favorite toy is Oscar the octopus. Picture, a farely large, purple squeaky soft toy. Squeaker in his head and in each leg. To watch those 2 together, is a crack up! Oscar is just a little too big for her, but she bites his squeaky head and scoots him around. Occasionally she runs through the house with him. Lol, sometimes she needs assistance jumping on the bed, when Oscar is in her mouth! Once I caught her on her back playing with him. Hehehehe, you could hardly see Gladus.
She loves her kibble, works great as a training treat. For special treats, she loves cheese and just about any kind of meat. lol!
Our cat bisk lives to eat, sleep, and go out side in the middle of the night, then kry to come back in an hour when we frustrated owners have craled back to bed. Hmm, I haven't really thought of what my guide's favorite thing to do, will post when I figure it out.
Well let's see. My pet's favorite activity is to wait until I'm in the process of crawling under the blankets at night when it's time to go to bed, then turboing his way up onto the bed where he immediately begins to as we say, "make biscuits" with such force that I half expect him to pull the blankets off me.
my cat Merry loved canteloupe. We couldn't cut it open fast enough for her. She also loved my computer chair because she couldn't be seen when it was pushed under the desk. Favorite places to hide were on top the fridge or the highest cabinets in the kitchen. I could write Merry stories all day but I'll stop here.
london, 60 lb golden retriever, hmm, his favorite thing, is to roll on my bed, when i'm sitting on it
well there is the fact that, he will literally sit in my lap and wag his tail as if to say, hey maaa, look, i'm using your daughter as a doggy seat.
See? and now she can't get up without moving me, and why would she want to move me? I'm all comfortable here...
that too...
and he has the 1 pound fur tail of death, because his other favorite thing to do is beat me up with it...
